DARK MOOR

Dark Moor se formaron en Madrid en 1994 y en agosto de 1999 graban su primer Cd ``Shadowland´´..Con este álbum consiguen acompañar a Demons & Wizards durante su gira en España, lo cual les ayudó a ser descubiertos por un gran número de seguidores del género.
En agosto de 2000 Dark Moor comienzan las sesiones de grabación de su nuevo trabajo`` The Hall Of The Olden Dreams ´´ con el productor Luigi Stefanini en los estudios New Sin en Italia. Durante las sesiones de grabacion del álbum registran la versión ``Halloween ´´ que incluyen en el tributo a Helloween ``The Keepers Of Jericho ´´ (Arise Records) .
En Junio de 2001 se edita el E.P de 5 temas ``The Fall Of Melnibone´´,este Mini Cd fue una edición limitada de 1.500 copias que solo fue editado en España.
En noviembre del 2001 comienzan la grabación de su tercer trabajo ``The Gates Of Oblivion´´, Dark Moor firman con la multinacional J.V.C que editará sus próximos trabajos en el mercado asiático, ``The Gates Of Oblivion ´´ se editará en Marzo de 2002. La banda inicia una gira que les lleva a realizar 18 conciertos, incluyendo festivales como Rock Machina, Viña rock o Nit De Reis. Después de finalizar la primera parte de la gira Robert (teclista) deja la banda, con lo que la banda finaliza el Tour con un miembro invitado ocupando su puesto.
Dark Moor entraron nuevamente al estudio en Agosto de 2002 (esta vez en los estudios Cube) para la grabación de 4 temas acústicos,con la colaboración de un quarteto de cuerda, temas que se incluyen en su último trabajo "Between Light and Darkness", una edición especial que también incluye los bonus tracks que se incluyeron en "The Hall Of The Olden Dreams" y "The Gates Of Oblivion" en sus ediciones en Asia y el tema "Dies Irae" en versión orquestal (inédito hasta la fecha). "Between Light and Darkness" se edita el 21 de Abril de 2003.Esta sería la última grabación en la que estén Elisa,Jorge y Albert quienes forman una nueva banda.
Enrik y Anan deciden comenzar la búsqueda de nuevos miembros para Dark Moor. Alfred Romero es elegido después de una dura audición.La formación la completan José Garrido (guitarra) y Andy C. (batería).
La banda registra su cuarto trabajo nuevamente en los New Sin Studios en el mes de Agosto de 2003.Sin duda, este nuevo trabajo es un paso definitivo para la banda, su sonido no pierde la esencia de Dark Moor aunque la banda incluye nuevos elementos y un significante cambio en la composición de los temas.
Como adelando el 22.10.03 se edita el single "From Hell", que incluye 3 temas, 2 de ellos no están incluidos en el disco y el tercero posiblemente sea el mejor tema compuesto por la banda titulado "From Hell". El cuarto álbum de la banda "Dark Moor" se edita el 24.11.03.
Jose Garrido deja la banda y de Dark Moor empizan a funcionar con Enrik como único guitarrista embarcándose en una gira con After Forever tocando en Bélgica, Francia y España. Después de esta gira Anan deja la banda y entra Daniel Fernández como nuevo bajista.

En el verano de 2004 registran su nuevo álbum en los estudios M20 y New Sin. En este nuevo álbum la banda muestra menos elementos barrocos, guitarras más duras y un sonido más poderoso. Probablemente, los temas sean más directos ya que la banda ha preferido centrarse en la búsqueda de la correcta melodía que en una producción sobrecargada.

Su nuevo álbum "Beyond The Sea" se edita el 4 de Marzo de 2005.

Dark Moor was formed in 1994 in Madrid (Spain) & recorded their debut album ``Shadowland´´ in the summer of 1999. Dark Moor did some appreciated live preformances supporting Demons & Wizards in their Spanish Tour , it was a good chance to be discovered by a big crowd of Spanish Metal fans.
Dark Moor began the recording sessions of their second album ``The Hall Of The Olden Dreams´´ in August 2000 at New Sin Studios with the producer Luigi Stefanini. During these recording sessions the band recorded the cover ``Halloween´´ which was included in the Cd ``The Keepers Of Jericho´´ - A Tribute To Helloween - (Arise Records ).
The E.P ``The Fall Of Melnibone´´ was released in June 2001.This E.P was a Ltd. Edition (1.500 copies) only released for the Spanish market.
Dark Moor began the recording of their third album ``The Gates Of Oblivion ´´ in the autumn of 2001 at New Sin Studios.Dark Moor signed with the major label J.V.C for the Asia. The band plays 18 gigs, getting an incredible response in festivals such as Rock Machina, Viña Rock or Nit De Reis. After the first part of the Tour,Robert (Keyboards) left the band and it owes to the band to finish the Tour with a guest musician.
In August 2003 Dark Moor recorded 4 new exclusive acoustic tracks with the collaboration of a string-quartet to be included in "Between Light and Darkness" album , a special edition where you also find the bonus tracks recorded for the japanese/korean editions of "The Hall Of The Olden Dreas" and "The Gates Of Oblivion" albums and the unreleased track "Dies Irae" (orchestral version). "Between Light and Darkness" will be released on the 21th of April 2003. Unfortunately, due the different points of view regarding the musical direction for the next Dark Moor´s album, Elisa, Albert & Jorge decided to left Dark Moor starting a new band.
Enrik & Anan decides to start the search of new members. After a hard audition, the band finds the perfect singer for the band in the person of Alfred Romero.The new line-up is completed with Jose Garrido (guitars) and Andy C. (drums).
In August 2003, the band starts the recording of their fourth album "Dark Moor" at New Sin Studios (Italy), after a month of recording sessions, the album is mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox. "Dark Moor" was released on 24th November.
Jose Garrido left the band and Dark Moor decided to follow just with Enrik as guitarrist. Dark Moor supported After Forever in Belgium, France and Spain. After the tour Anan left the band and Daniel Fernández was chosen as new bass player.

In Summer 2004, the band recorded their new album "Beyond The Sea" at M20 (drums & backing vocals) & New Sin Studios. The first edition of the album will be limited to 5.000 copies and will contain an exclusive bonus track. In this new amazing album the band shows less baroque elements, heavier guitars and more powerful sound than in their previous recordings. Probably, the tracks are more straight forward than in the past. This time the band wanted to be more focussed in the search of the right melodies than in an overloaded production.

Their new album "Beyond The Sea" will be released on 4th March 2005.
