MOURNING CARESS

Mourning Caress fueron fundados en Münster (Alemania) en el otoño de 1998 por el batería Dominik y el vocalista Gerrit. Los dos fundadores solían tocar en una banda de Death Metal melódico llamada Unburden.
Prontamente, tras la fundación de la banda, se unió el guitarrista Florian, seguido, un poco más tarde, por el segundo guitarrista Benedikt y el bajista Danniel. Estos tres miembros también tocaban en otras bandas de Metal antes de unirse a Mourning Caress.
Tan pronto como la formación estuvo completa, se empezó a trabajar en las canciones. Un año después, vió la luz una demo CD autoproducida llamada "The Divine Grave", la cual consiguió buenas críticas de un montón de revistas de Metal, emisoras de radio y fanzines de todo el mundo.
El trabajo en nuevo material y los primeros conciertos por los alrededores de Münster siguieron al lanzamiento de "The Divine Grave".

Al finalizar el 2000 estaba escríto suficiente material y se lanzo un nuevo y autoproducido demo-CD, llamado "Perspectives". Con mucha más aproximación al trabajo profesional, tanto en diseño como en música, la segunda demo-CD logró gran cantidad de reconocimiento de la escena Metal de todo el planeta y trajo la posibilidad de tocar en mas conciertos, con bandas tales como Black Destiny, Scornage, Blood Red Angel, Tankard, etc...

"Perspectives" dejó también la colaboración con el sello ARISE RECORDS, el cual sacará el album de debut de la banda den Marzo del 2002.
Mourning Caress entrarán en el estudio con el productor Andy Classen este otoño, por lo que estad atentos para el debut la siguiente primavera!.

Mourning Caress from Münster/Germany was founded in autumn 1998 by drummer Dominik and vocalist Gerrit. The two founders used to play in a Melodic Death Metal band called Unburden. Shortly after founding the band guitarist Florian joined, followed a bit later by second guitarist Benedikt and bassist Daniel. The three new members also used to play in other Metal bands before joining Mourning Caress.
As soon as the line-up was complete, work on song - material started. One year later, the first self - produced demo CD entitled "The Divine Grave" was released, which got good reviews from many Metal -mags, radiostations and fanzines around the globe.
Work on new material and the first gigs in and around Münster followed the release of "The Divine Grave".

At the end of 2000, enough material was written and a new self - produced demo - CD was released, entitled "Perspectives". With a more professional approach regarding artwork and music, the second demo-CD got lots of coverage from the Metal media around the planet and brought forth the possibility to play more gigs, with bands such as Mindfield, Black Destiny, Scornage, Blood Red Angel, Tankard, etc...

"Perspectives" also led to the collaboration with the Spanish label ARISE RECORDS, which will be releasing the band's debut-album in march 2002. Mourning Caress will be entering the studio with producer Andy Classen this autumn, so watch out for the debut next spring!!
